Jen’s Lens ~ Take 1: National Panto Day

Greetings one and all!  Today marked a very special occasion for us here at The Courtyard, and I am sure has also affected those from all over.  Not only was today Wednesday 5 December, but it was also…. drum roll please…. National Panto Day! (Oh, yes it was!) And, with our very own Dick Whittington in full panto swing, it seemed only fair, that we celebrated this remarkable event, in a remarkable way.

It started with an idea.  A whimsical musing, if you will.  But this idea was soon turned into reality when we got our hands on a camera, some abandoned panto props and a ton of tinsel.  Yes, good followers, we made a music video.

Merry Xmas Everyone!
We raided cupboards and store rooms, walked around the building and disrupted offices, but were lucky to find that our wonderful staff were feeling very festive and spirited, and couldn’t wait to wish everyone a “Merry Christmas”.  From party invites, to awkward Santa cuddles; this merry musical offering gave everyone a chance to express their festive tidings in a personal and unique way.

Box Office assistants became heroes, Business Development ladies had a ball and Education couldn’t stop dancing.  There was even a cat in the kitchen!  Despite a couple of Scrooges along the way, the Courtyard crew couldn’t wait to get shaking to Shakin’ Stevens.

So, enjoy this video with some Christmas cheer. Laugh, dance, or even cry if you want to.

And from us all at the Courtyard…
